Using renewable energy has never been easier. You will be billed monthly based on the kWhs used. The additional charge will appear on your normal monthly electric statement.
You won’t need any special equipment either. Butte Electric Cooperative will continue to fulfill all your electric needs while you can enjoy the benefits of renewable energy.

On average, a home in our service territory uses 800 kWh of energy per month. Participating in the REC program at 100% would add $1.60 to your monthly bill.

For smaller businesses, the average cost to power your operation with 100% renewable energy would be $2.80 a month for 1400 kWh. For larger businesses, the average cost to power your operation with 100% renewable energy would be $30 a month for 15,000 kWh.
