Turn Up The Voltage On Your Summer

Every July Butte Electric Cooperative sponsors five area students who join together with students from across the state to attend the South Dakota Rural Electric Youth Excursion. The three-day event is headquartered at the Holiday Inn in Bismarck, North Dakota. Commercial buses are used for transportation. The young people attending the excursion have the opportunity to make new friends with participants from other rural electric cooperatives. The trip promises to provide fun, sight-seeing, and an opportunity to learn more about electric cooperatives.

The trip is funded by electric cooperatives and provides for each participant's transportation, room and board, entertainment and sight-seeing events. Students are required to supply their own personal/shopping money. To qualify, fill out the application form found in your Butte Electric Beacon and return it to Butte Electric Cooperative by the deadline.
